Laura is a tutor for Scottish Culture & Traditions Association in Aberdeen and has been playing fiddle since she was a child.
Currently playing with the Pictones in Aberdeen and has started a new band with Simon Gall and Davie Cattanagh.
Laura has played in bands for several years and has recorded two CDs with her last band, Swingin' Fiddles, with whom she toured extensively. Laura is from Shetland and has been influenced by many players such as Aly Bain. Having taught for many years privately and at workshops, Laura has experience of tutoring on both a one-to-one basis and as part of a group.
