Part of bluegrass band NEW REDWING who have been gigging for many years and are respected and acknowledged as the foremost exponents of Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music in Scotland. The band features harmony vocals and has a long pedigree in the genre. In the 1980's Louise and partner Alan formed one half of the influential Old Hickory Band. Redwing have recorded one album called Running Wild, playing at numerous bluegrass festivals with regular gigs in the Glasgow area and Ayrshire. Recently performing as a double act, with daughter Hazel joining regularly to sing third part harmony.
