Travel Information
Our venue for 2009 is West Park, Dundee.
We will try our best to make arrangments to pick up attendees either at nearby airports or railway stations. If you are travelling from overseas, it is probably best not to hire a car for the summer school weeks - but to contact us for advice.
By Road
Dundee and Angus is served by an excellent network of roads and visitors have a choice of fast travel via motorway or dual carriageway links or the more relaxing tourist trails through Angus, Fife and Perthshire.
By Rail
Dundee's modern city centre station, is served by the East Coast line from London, which continues from Dundee to Aberdeen. Railway station stops are provided at Carnoustie, Arbroath and Montrose and local commuter trains run regularly from Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Perth. Details about national rail travel are available on Railtrack's Web Site and, for rail travel within Scotland, on Scotrail's Web Site
By Air
Dundee is little more than an hour's drive from Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Glasgow Airports, which all offer extensive services throughout Britain, Europe and beyond. If you are travelling by air, Dundee Airport is a few minutes drive from the city centre, and offers regular flights direct to London City Airport; flights between Dundee and Manchester, by Eastern Airways, will soon be open. For further information, go to Dundee Airport's Website and the Scot Airways Website.
